New Years Eve turned deadly in 2009 when Shele Covlin was murdered in her Upper West Side apartment at The Dorchester Towers. Initially thought to have been an accidental death, Shele’s family fought to bring her killer to justice.

Shele’s dad, Joel, purchased this apartment in 1985 for $145,000. At some point, two units next door to each other were combined to make apartment #515 at the Dorchester a two bedroom unit with a study.
In 2012, the property was listed for $1,680,000 and sold 3 months later at $1,425,000 - which equates to $2300/SF.
